Lahou Keita is the co-founder of the aeronautical engineering company, Keitas Systems, which created Tempeus®, the third black box for ground data. A successful role model in a still predominantly male sphere, she supports and embodies the values of our Education For Women Now campaign.
Lahou Keita is a brilliant woman. She is an aviation inspector, specialising in maintenance engineering. She speaks five languages and has a multinational experience, including work with Ruag Aviation, the Swiss government’s repair and maintenance organisation, and with the French military and civil aircraft manufacturer, Dassault Aviation.
Defending and promoting minorities
In 2011, she and her sister Fatou founded the aeronautical engineering company, Keitas Systems, which created Tempeus®, the third ground data black box, a model that did not yet exist in the field of aviation – truly a successful feat worthy of her efforts!
An active member of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, dedicated to encouraging the advancement of minorities in all aerospace careers, she has always been committed to the values she believes in. She is doing just that now, by joining our Education For Women Now campaign.
« We support the Education for Women Now campaign because the aviation industry needs the contribution of women to improve aviation safety, » explains Lahou. « It is therefore essential that they have access to education and go into scientific fields at an early age to build the future workforce. »
