Denise Epoté


Chair of the Campaign Committee and a leading figure of French and African television,Denise was the first journalist to present the news in French on national Cameroon public television. Currently, she is still a journalist and the host of a TV show and Head of Africa Department at TV5 Monde, a renowned French television network.

Aïcha Bah Diallo


International President of Action Education and Co-Chair of the Campaign, Aïcha is a renowned women’s rights activist and champion of girls’ education. She served as Minister of Education of Guinea from 1989 to 1996, and was responsible for implementing major reforms improving education among young girls. For almost a decade, she served as a senior education leader at UNESCO and from 2005 to 2009, she served as Special Advisor to the Director General of UNESCO for Africa.

Passionate about women’s empowerment, Carole is the Host and Producer of “Femme&Pouvoir” (“Woman&Power”), a documentary series promoting multicultural diversity and female leadership to create a fair and a more inclusive society.

After having been a teacher for many years, Carole decided to become an entrepreneur and create “Chais Elles”, an events and communication agency that focuses on female winegrowers who represent a world where values and knowledge transmission plays an essential role.

François Thiellet


A changemaker and entrepreneur, François, together with Edouard De Broglie and Action Education, initiated the project “A light for Africa”, which focuses on bringing electricity to schools in Africa. He is also the founder of “THEMA”, a company specializing in distribution of thematic TV channels on Pay TV platforms.

Rhunah Soriano


Rhunah is an owner of Prolifiq, an event agency based in Canada. Born in the Philippines, Rhunah saw poverty as a symptom of social and gender inequity especially in developing countries. Girls and women are the worst affected by diffrent kinds of discrimination and continue to face difficulties in accessing education, and once they are in school, at workplace, and in society. Convinced that  education is the best way to transform lives, ensure peace, and social and economic stability in marginalized communities, Rhunah joined the Education for Women Now campaign and contributes to its promotion and development.

Stephenie is a recognized voice in women’s leadership and empowerment, with a career spanning government, the nonprofit sector, and law. She is a founding partner at Smash Strategies, which counsels corporations, institutions, and philanthropists to ensure that their investments in women and girls are effective and transformational.

Edouard De Broglie


A changemaker, entrepreneur and business angel, Edouard specialises in social innovation and inclusive management. Creator of the project “A light for Africa”, Edouard, in partnership with Action Education, helped bring electricity to schools in Africa. This project has grown across Africa and is currently deployed by Action Education in cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD). As the Founder and President of Ethik Investment Group, Edouard promotes solutions to integrate people with disabilities into the workplace.

Joëlle is Director of the French-speaking market in Europe at the Lombard Odier Group, a Swiss banking group based in Geneva, named best bank in Western Europe for wealth management in 2017 by Euromoney.

Nanouchka Homawoo


Nanouchka is an international management consultant and strategic advisor to senior executives. She defines
herself as a multicultural person who takes "a little something" from all the places she has lived, particularly in
Europe, the Americas and Africa. She is an active advocate for education for all, gender equality, women’s
empowerment, youth development through entrepreneurship and innovation. Just like in the legend of the little
hummingbird: She is doing her part and contributes to economic and social development through her various actions.

Sanjeev is a member of the Board of Directors of Action Education International, an entrepreneur and a consultant in the fields of brands and marketing with more than 30 years of experience. He is the founder of INTRADIA World, which organizes specialized workshops in the field of ideation and innovation.

Sharyanne Mcswain


Sharyanne is the Chief Operating Officer at Echoing Green, a nonprofit organization that funds social entrepreneurship and innovation. She has more than 30 years of financial services and business operations experience, working in nonprofit management, financial engineering, financial services marketing, and municipal finance.

Sylvie Combe


Sylvie is a consultant in sustainability and communications. She has been Head of communications and sustainability for international companies like Lafarge, Primagaz or Kingfisher. Sylvie is an Action Education donor.

Lauranie Nonotte


Lauranie is a Brand Education & Experience Director for a wine & spirits company, working between Paris and Cognac. In this group for 4 years, she has dedicated herself to the implementation of a global innovative training and e-learning strategy for internal teams and a range of world-class experiences for VIP clients of the brand. From 2010 to 2016, she led Esprit Chocolat, her own company in Paris, dedicated to the art of chocolate, fine wine and spirits tastings. During the first part of her career, Lauranie was a communication consultant in international media evaluation, developing a sharp sense of analysis, as well as skills in several languages.  Apart from her job, she dedicates her free time to mentoring young graduates, helping them to start a career when they don’t have a personal network, and coaching candidates who are willing to reintegrate the work environment after years of personal difficulties.

Lahou Keita


Lahou is an Aircraft Inspector specializing in maintenance engineering. In 2011, she co-founded with her sister Fatou Keita, Keitas Systems, an aerospace company. Lahou Keita and Fatou Keita have created the Ground Data Black Box Tempeus®, the third Black Box which did not exist in aviation, to avoid aircraft crashes. In 2019, Keitas Systems opened its subsidiary at Quebec City, in Canada, to conquer the North American market. Lahou Keita has a degree in foreign languages, is multilingual, and speaks Finnish.

Pascal Gally is a Legal counsel based in Switzerland. In addition to his legal activities, he is involved in multiple initiatives towards Africa (Economical & educational projects etc.) Pascal has also created the « Choc des Legendes », a unique festival of Eloquence, which gathered every year in Paris high level personalities of all domains to praise culture.
